Hints for being happy in your new apartment
- Start early. The best apartments always go first. Don't be stuck in a dump.
- Beware of hidden costs. Check carefully. Just because the monthly rental rate seems low always check to see what your utility costs are.
- Get to know your landlord. They can be your best friend or your worst enemy.
- Take into consideration whether or not the apartment is furnished.
- Laundry facilities might not seem like an important factor but on a cold winter night, going to the laundromat will not be fun.
- If you drive, make sure there is adequate parking for your vehicle.
- Today security is a major factor. Make sure there is adequate lighting in the building and the parlking lot.
